Heritage International Primary and Secondary Program

Introduction
The Heritage Academy international programs provide a structured, progressive pathway designed to bridge the gap between foundational learning and high-stakes international certifications. By aligning with GCE O-Level and Cambridge IGCSE benchmarks, the curriculum ensures academic rigor while fostering 21st-century competencies. The hallmark of this educational model is its cross-disciplinary integration, which compels students to apply skills from one subject—such as Mathematics or Digital Literacy—to solve problems in others, like Science or Global Perspectives. This inquiry-based methodology transforms students into self-directed, critical thinkers prepared for global citizenship.
International Primary (HIP)
The Heritage International Primary (HIP) curriculum serves as a preparatory course for students from Primary 1 to 6. Its primary objective is to build a high level of proficiency that eases the transition into secondary education. Even at this foundational stage, the curriculum emphasizes the explicit linking of skills across modules. Students do not learn subjects in isolation; instead, they might incorporate English research skills into Global Perspectives projects or utilize Math concepts within Science investigations, ensuring a cohesive understanding of how different fields of knowledge interact.
Lower Secondary (HIS)
The HIS Lower Secondary programme (Secondary 1–2) focuses on developing proficiency through a structured and progressive framework. It prioritizes the development of academic foundations and critical thinking through authentic tasks and inquiry-based learning. During these years, the integrated approach becomes more sophisticated, intentionally connecting Mathematics and Digital Literacy to support Science investigations. This stage is critical for strengthening conceptual understanding, as it provides the necessary scaffolding for the more demanding requirements of the upper secondary years.
Upper Secondary (HIS)
Building directly upon the foundations of the lower secondary years, the HIS Upper Secondary programme specifically prepares students for the GCE O-Level and Cambridge IGCSE examinations. The curriculum shifts toward applied learning, where students utilize complex tools like mathematical modelling in Science and digital data analysis tools. It also integrates advanced communication skills, such as persuasive writing, into Global Perspectives coursework. This holistic design is intended to build the confidence and analytical depth required for students to excel in both their practical coursework and formal written examinations.
