Celebrating the Women Who Build Lives, Shape Character, and Inspire Generations

At Heritage Academy, we believe that education begins at home, where children first learn love, compassion, resilience, and character. Our Mother’s Day celebration brought together mothers, students, teachers, and families for a memorable day of learning, creativity, fellowship, and appreciation.

Love That Builds Others – Jill Hong

Our celebration began with an inspiring talks by Jill Hong and Mrs Mak, who reminded mothers that the greatest gift they can give their children is not something they buy, but the person they help build. Through every encouraging word, bedtime story, comforting hug, and sacrifice, mothers shape the confidence, kindness, and resilience of the next generation.

Mrs Mak encouraged mothers to recognise the extraordinary impact of their everyday acts of love. Whether preparing breakfast, offering encouragement, or simply being present, their kindness strengthens families and shapes future generations. The session created an atmosphere of gratitude, reflection, and appreciation.

Pomodoro Technique Workshop

Both Mothers and Children also explored the Pomodoro Technique. Through interactive activities, they learned how focused study sessions and regular breaks can improve concentration and build effective study habits. The workshop reinforced our commitment to equipping students with practical skills for lifelong learning. Mothers can also apply this technique in their daily routines by setting aside focused time for tasks such as work, household responsibilities, or quality time with their children, while remembering to take regular breaks to recharge and maintain balance.

Creative Workshops: Clay, Leather & Korean Flowers

[CLAY COASTER WORKSHOP]
Families enjoyed a variety of hands-on workshops throughout the day. Participants designed personalized clay coasters, crafted leather key chains, and created beautiful Korean flower arrangements. Beyond the creative outcomes, these workshops provided meaningful opportunities for family bonding, conversation, and shared memories.

‘Mum & Me’ Competition

One of the most heartwarming moments of the day was when the students displayed their works in the “Mum & Me” Photo Competition, a heartfelt activity that encouraged them to reflect on the significant role their mothers play in their lives. Accompanying their favourite photo with Mum, students shared personalized messages of gratitude, writing about the love, sacrifices, encouragement, and support their mothers have given them throughout the years.

The entries were filled with touching stories and sincere expressions of appreciation, reminding us of the powerful bond between mother and child. Through this meaningful activity, students celebrated not only the special memories they share with their mothers but also the lasting impact their mothers have had in shaping their character, confidence, and dreams.

‘Charlotte’s Web’ Creativity Competition

As part of our Mother’s Day celebrations, Heritage Academy proudly presented the awards for the Charlotte’s Web Colouring Competition, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across all campuses. Inspired by the beloved story’s themes of friendship, kindness, and love, students displayed their creativity through vibrant and imaginative artwork, making the competition a wonderful display of artistic talent and self-expression.

The awards ceremony was a special highlight of the Mother’s Day programme, as winning entries were recognized and celebrated in the presence of proud parents and families. Seeing students receive their awards and certificates brought smiles to many faces and served as a reminder that every child’s effort, creativity, and unique perspective deserves to be celebrated. We congratulate all participants for their outstanding work and thank our mothers for continually encouraging and nurturing their children’s talents and confidence.

[CHARLOTTE WEB SESSION]

Photo Session & Lunch Fellowship

Families captured beautiful memories during the Mother’s Day photo session before gathering for a warm lunch fellowship. Laughter, conversations, and meaningful connections filled the room as parents, students, and staff enjoyed time together.

Why Family Engagement Matters
At Heritage Academy, we actively support parents because we understand that education is a partnership. Events like our Mother’s Day Celebration strengthen relationships between home and school while creating opportunities for students to thrive academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

By investing in our families, we invest in our students. Through parent engagement activities, enrichment workshops, creative experiences, and community events, we continue building an environment where every child feels supported and valued.

Thank You, Mothers

To every mother who joined us, thank you for your love, sacrifice, and commitment. Your influence extends far beyond your own families and contributes to the strength of our entire school community.

Happy Mother’s Day from Heritage Academy.
