At Heritage Academy, we believe that a strong school begins with a strong team. Our annual Staff Retreat 2026, themed “Heritage Quest Amazing Race”, brought staff members together for a day of adventure, collaboration, and team bonding at Sentosa. More than just a retreat, the event provided an opportunity for staff to step away from their daily routines, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with the values that unite us as one Heritage family.
Staff were divided into four teams and embarked on an exciting Amazing Race-style challenge across Sentosa. Throughout the day, teams completed a series of missions that tested their problem-solving skills, communication, teamwork, and adaptability. From deciphering clues to navigating various checkpoints, every challenge encouraged staff to work together, support one another, and think creatively under pressure. The friendly competition created plenty of laughter, excitement, and memorable moments while reinforcing the importance of collaboration in achieving a common goal.
No staff retreat would be complete without great food and fellowship. After an energetic morning of activities, staff gathered for a hearty lunch where unlimited food was served. The lunch session provided a wonderful opportunity for team members from different departments and campuses to connect, share experiences, and build deeper relationships. Conversations flowed freely as colleagues reflected on the day’s adventures and celebrated the camaraderie that makes Heritage Academy such a special place to work.
The theme of this year’s retreat, Shared Vision, Collaboration, Open Communication, and Mutual Respect, was evident throughout every activity and interaction. The retreat served as a meaningful reminder that these values are at the heart of our school culture. By fostering a supportive and united team, we are better equipped to provide the highest quality education and care for our students. As we return to our campuses refreshed and inspired, we remain committed to working together to nurture excellence and make a lasting impact on every student’s journey.

The Heritage Quest Amazing Race highlighted the importance of teamwork and trust in achieving success. Just as our students are encouraged to collaborate, communicate, and persevere, our staff demonstrated these same qualities throughout the retreat. By strengthening our relationships and embracing a shared vision, we continue to build a positive and supportive school environment where both staff and students can thrive.
